I come from the small ski town of Bend, Oregon, where my growth as a creative artist thrived in the environment of having endless possibilities. My family, which consisted of artists, always promoted a growth mindset that  allowed me to experiment with my ideas through art, always searching for new answers to explain my artistic lens, providing me with endless inspiration. Those ideas continued to flow from my love of the world and the way it is ever changing, and always moving forward. Looking at the world as ever evolving gives me energy to create in a way that pushes boundaries. I find myself presenting my ideas with theatrical flair which was developed due to my childhood love for dance and performance. This love of performance art was propelled forward when my brother started his drag career and I became his designer. We became a dynamic duo with him becoming my muse and with this came the ability to show that clothing shouldnt be reserved for a specific gender but a fluid challenge of presenting who you really are. Too often clothing is put into a box of how it should be worn, which I choose to challenge with my design practices. Fashion should be multidimensional, it should have an abstract message, to tell a story. These stories and messages are what drive me to create. I want my fashion to be a testimonial to my technical skill which is ever evolving while telling the story of the person wearing my design. Every person should have the feeling that what they are wearing represents their story. Beautifully crafted, artistic, and uniquely formulated clothing should not be reserved for special occasions. I challenge fashion to be looked at in a way where life is the occasion and one celebrates this circumstance of living through the clothing they choose to wear.
